Cooler weather is just around the corner, and with that comes, snow, ice, and packing the bike away for the winter. So how do you maintain that cycling fitness level that you’ve worked so hard to attain over the Spring, Summer, and Fall? You could set up the trainer in the basement and have fun staring at the same cement block walls for hours on end while a puddle of sweat pools on the concrete floor below your bike.

Or you could get out of the house and join other like-minded souls at a Pilates studio for some cycling cross-training fun!

Gail Giovanniello BodinPMA®-CPT (Pilates Method Alliance®-Certified Pilates Teacher), owner of Mind Your Body Pilates and GYROTONIC® Studio, and BTCNJ club member, will be demonstrating how Pilates can be a cross-training tool for cycling fitness. Gail’s philosophy is that “real exercise is not just choreography and toned muscles, but involves skeletal education, alignment, progression, and an underlying philosophy of movement. It need not be somber and serious, but celebrated and fun!”

Fun!!  Now there’s a emotion that everyone feels while pedaling away on the trainer in the basement. Errr… Maybe not.

So come hear what Gail has to say on Thursday, September 14, at the Ridgewood Public Library, 125 North Maple Ave, Ridgewood, NJ 07450.

Don’t Forget…NEW MEETING TIME!!! Starting in September, the monthly membership meeting will start at 7:00 PM!!!
