Winter Cycling and How to Prepare for It

Winter Cycling

Remember when you were a kid… if you wanted to go play in the snow, your mother would bundle you in so many bulky layers, you could barely move your arms and legs?

Imagine if you had to dress like that when you ride your bike in the colder weather! All that heat and sweat trapped under layers of wool, down, and (gasp!) cotton. Well it doesn’t have to be like that any more!

To help us understand the proper way to prepare for riding for the cold is Shepard Gringer from the Tenafly Bicycle Workshop in Tenafly, NJ.

From how to dress to what cold-weather equipment you can get, Shepard will help us with all the do’s and don’ts of winter cycling. After all, there’s no reason to stop biking when the mercury dips below 40°, if you know how to stay comfortable.

And doing the honors of providing us with top-notch post-presentation refreshment will be Keith Danish. Thanks, Keith!

As always, the meeting is at:
