Get Ready to Pedal Across the Tappan Zee* for the First Time!

In less than a year, you will be able to cycle or walk across the Tappan Zee on the new Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge!

BTCNJ’s March Club Meeting will be a presentation about the new bridge and the new shared-use path. The presentation will be given by George Paschalis, Deputy Project Director, Outreach, New York State Thruway Authority. Mr. Paschalis will present on the development of this transformational new facility, including videos and renderings of what’s to come, and answer your questions.

As many people in the club and in North Jersey are talking about this fantastic new facility and the possibilities for new routes that span both sides of the Hudson River, this will be an exciting meeting and a rare opportunity…one you don’t want to miss!

As usual, this meeting is open to the general public. Invite your friends, including those who do not ride, as this path will also be open to pedestrians.

Discover how the path came to be, what it will look like, when it will open, how you can access it, and the many places on the east side of the Hudson you will now be able to reach on your bike!

*That beautiful, wide section of the Hudson River north of New York City is called the “Tappan Zee,” which is where the bridge got its name.

Refreshments for the March will be provided by Jack and Rita Carren   …thanks, Jack & Rita!
