This month’s guest speaker is Matthew Busche. Matthew Busche is an American former professional road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2009 and 2016 for the Kelly Benefit Strategies, Team Radio Shack, Trek Factory Racing, and United Healthcare teams.
Matthew graduated from Luther College (Decorah, IA) with Bachelor’s degrees in Exercise Science and Management. After graduation, he spent 2 years racing domestically. In 2010 he landed a professional contract with Team Radio Shack for 2010. He lived and raced in Europe from 2010-2015 before returning to the US in 2016 for his final racing season. At the end of 2016, he started coaching with CTS (Carmichael Training Systems). He uses his past experiences and education and puts this knowledge to help others achieve their fitness and racing goals.
He will talk about the highs and lows of his racing career, setting appropriate goals, preparing for an event, improve your riding abilities, and how to approach the off-season/winter. Followed by a question and answer session.
