TIME FOR OUR ANNUAL CLUB PICNIC!
All Members and Their Families are Invited
WHEN: Saturday, June 11th, 11:30am-2:00pm
WHERE: Pascack Brook County Park Gazebo near Tennis Courts
All BTCNJ members and their families are invited and a special invitation is extended to new BTCNJ members. Rides of all levels will depart from Pascack Brook County Park in the morning, before the picnic, and return between 11:30am and 1pm. Our Club Picnic is a great way to meet our members. Sign up for posted rides, then picnic with us upon your return, or just picnic with us and not ride.
Rides from Pascack Park for all levels will be posted and leaders are asked to have their rides return between 11:30am and 1pm. Look for rides posted in the next few weeks and picnic with us upon your return. Or you can just come for the picnic.
BTCNJ will provide charcoal broiled burgers, hot dogs, paper goods, and cold beverages (alcohol is prohibited). There will be a meatless option. Meandering Mark Swanek will once again take the helm at the grill and we will also have a buffet table so participants can bring their favorite dish and share. If you feel comfortable sharing, please bring one potluck dish that will feed 6-8 people. Review the categories that follow, find the letter your last name begins with and the food recommended to bring: A – G: Salads, veggies, pasta / H – K: Snacks, chips, dips / L – Q: Fruit and Desserts / R – Z: Main dishes. Vegetarian dishes are welcome. The best way to keep food fresh for the picnic while you are riding is to bring a cooler or other container with ice and leave it in your car. Please don’t drop off food at the picnic site before you leave for your ride because we don’t have enough coolers to keep it fresh. Do not bring raw meat that needs to be cooked.
We need volunteers to help with setup, cleanup, marshaling the food tables, and helping out in the grill area. All help will be appreciated. To volunteer, contact Claudia Dukeshire at (551) 804-3641 and leave a message or email [email protected]
BTCNJ Gives Back with a Picnic Swap Event!
Got some excess bike related clothing and gear in good shape other club members might love to have? There will be a table for clothing and accessories to showcase these treasures. We ask anyone who takes an item make a reasonable nominal donation depending on the item. These donations will be contributed to our Ramapo Rally Charity Partner.
GREAT opportunity for new members to score some useful gear!!!
Be prepared to take your gear home, in the unlikely event its not swooped up!
New Jersey COVID guidelines as of the picnic date will be followed.
