Ride Leader Recognition Meeting
In London, it’s a tap on your shoulder with a sword. In Hollywood, it’s a shiny gold statue. In Ridgewood, it’s a garishly colored shirt that reveals more than many of us are comfortable with!
Yes, it’s that time of year again when our club honors its members who lead rides, and especially those leaders who lead enough rides to earn club merchandise or the 2015 special-edition Ride Leader Jersey. It’s due to the efforts of these people that BTCNJ is a leader in the number of rides offered each year.
Come out on April 14 to show your appreciation for all the effort these men and women put into making BTCNJ a great club. Like our motto says, “Great Rides Start With Us!”.
And while we have a large captive audience of ride leaders, our speaker, Les Leathem, an Education Coordinator from the New Jersey Bike & Walk Coalition and a League Coach for the League of American Bicyclists, will give a presentation on Traffic Skills. Many of us think we know what we’re doing out there on the roads, but do we really? Les will educate us on the rules of the road and how to lead a ride safely and coexist with other road users.
